state trooper... i see you...

well, I got pulled over today. last time i got pulled over was about 9 years ago.

so i was on my way to work. It was a four lane highway, I was in the second lane on the left, just cruising at 59mph. Someone with a 330 guns it in the HOV lane and passes me on my left with the letters dinan on the back. But I was far into a cd i burned earlier that morning, to start playing tag. so i just smiled, quietly chuckled to myself, and turned up the music.

And on my far right near an exit ramp there is a state trooper. his lights still on, as if he just finished pulling someone over... they turn off.... I pass him, thinking nothing, cause I am not speeding. few miles later... He then pulls up behind after a couple of minutes, but I am at ease, my V1 detects nothing... Then his lights flash. Pulls me over.

I think is this guy going to be an *** for going 4 mph over the limit..?

No front tags. I spurt out an excuse. Gives me a warning. That day I saw about 8 people being pulled over by stated troopers on my way to work. But I thought, why pull over someone with no tags over, specially on a busy highway. Even if there is a high probability I would only get a warning..?

hmm.

where in MD were you?

I know with the budget this year falling short, you better believe cops will be out in full force to write up any and everything they see wrong.

A friend with an RX7 gets pulled at least once a month for something stupid; and, he drives like a grandmother; so, expect it to be a bad year for numerous ridiculous repair orders.

I live in Texas and run without a front plate. I know it's against the law, but have been lucky so far. I'm not so sure that will last, though.

In the town where I live, someone wrote a letter to the editor in our local paper complaining about cars that don't have front plates. They also complained to the local police chief. Nothing really major, but the chief did say that they do, and would continue, to pull folks over for no front plates. Usually, they are looking for a larger offense, like DUI or outstanding warrants, and this gives them cause to stop someone.

I guess one of these days I'm going to have to put the plate on there. Oh well. So it goes. :-)

Same thing happened to me when driving my F-car. Just got a warning for no front plate.

Also was pulled over for speeding in the m5, got off w/ just a warning and NO comment about the lack of front plates.

However I'm fully bracing for warnings to turn into revenue producing tickets.

Got pulled over about 1000 feet after leaving the dealership in my Lexus, having all the paperwork with me (just purchased the car) I was let go. I wasn't planning on putting the plate on just like some of my other cars.

The very next morning I got pulled over again leaving my street

I get pulled over very rarely ( going away this weekend, so watch it will happen ) My son on the other hand gets pulled over for the stupidest of reasons. We had a state cop come up onto our lot and follow my son into our garage because he had no front plate. Great thing was, the car was never on the street, it went from the parking spot into the bay. And we told the cop as much and the fact that there was no back plate as well because we had just gotten the car like the day before. With his MR2, he gets pulled over during the daytime to make sure his headlights pop up. He even has to carry a brochure for his Evolution to show the cops that the body really came with a wing that high and yes Officer the body is totally stock. I have been pulled over when I first got my ///M because the cop couldn't see me wearing a seat belt through my tints was the excuse, only I don't have tints on the front windows officer, that is illegal in NJ. The next day NJMVC was out to insect my car to verify no tints in the front. ( I am a licensed state motor vehicle inspector and could incur a huge fine for putting a sticker on any vehicle with tints, so don't ask me to )

Okay rant has ended carry on...

haha, a few months ago I got my first ticket. I was driving right in front of the local police station, going the speed limit, and passed an unmarked car coming the opposite direction. As I passed I saw him look over and get on the radio. No more then 100 yards down the one lane road I am pulled over by a marked police car as well as the unmarked I had passed. Got a ticket for no front tag despite my excuses. I couldn't believe they pulled me over where they did in rush hour traffic, their issuing a 60 dollar citation caused a good 1/2 mile long backup.

I have tinted windows and no front licence tag. Everytime I get pulled over I get two tickets. It sucks!!! But I can't justify myself to drill holes in a front bumper and remove tint So I keep paying....
