Not Pener baffles, I am currently using those. We are talking about custom built baffles to house an 8" woofer.....

^^^ They should! Thanks to you, my stereo will rock even MORE than before!

I made some good headway today. Fabbed up my power distribution panel, covered it, and laid out some of my blocks. I am waiting for my wire to show up, then should be able to get my amps installed. I also realized I still have a TON of work to do! I spent 4 hours on it today and felt like I just barely got anything done! I still have no clue where I am going to mount the MKII unit so I have my OBC functions. I have to find someplace to stash it in the trunk!

Are you 100% positive that the functions are from the nav unit? I had my MKIV out of the car for a week while I did my install and didn't lose any of the info. Time was still correct and everything. If I pull the battery, it all gets reset.

The Nav does not hold the OBC info, but it enables display of it and contains the user interface to reset MPG etc. Without either the Nav or a TV module nothing will be displayed on the monitor and you'll have no way to setup what's displayed on the cluster or reset values. At this can be done with a PC connected to the iBus or just leaving a place to temporarily connect up a MID or the Nav computer for when you want to change stuff - assuming you're not using the stock monitor for anything else.

You can still scroll through the OBC info on the instrument cluster with the NAV unit disconnected, but like RichardP says, you cant make any changes to it, and it wont be displayed on the monitor.

From post #305 :

Are those baffles or an enclosure? Why does the one section stick out, or was that just necessary to get a complete seal to the door?
