Is it "Audessey" technology?

I just ran the same thing for my new stereo at the house. Either way that mic set up is amazing. WELL DONE!!! *screaming so you can HEAR me*

Yes it is "Audessey". I got a nice 2 hear listening session today driving back from my parent's house after visiting. What a drive....

Am I correct that Imprint works only with Alpine headunits, or is it actually a standalone piece of equipment?

Alpine units only, which is a shame. I just can't believe the difference from before programming/activating it to now. It would nice if it had regular RCA inputs so you could use any source.....

When you say "left" C pillar, do you mean driver's side? Do you know which cable to disconnect? There are several going into the unit....

Since you are in the United States, Yes, left means driver's side. For some of our other friends it would not be however

As for which cables, I can't say that I know which ones are which off the top of my head. I would expect to see 2 inputs on one end and 1 output on the other. You'd want to direct connect one of the inputs to the output.

I just spoke with my buddy at Alpine, they do make a piece for OEM integration that utilizes the Imprint "Audessey" technology, the PXE-H650.
