Pull up the cover on the floor. You will be looking at the spare tire, a left tray, a right tray, and the remainder of the floor toward the back seat. In front (meaning: toward the front of the car) of the spare tire you will see a pair of black plastic nuts. If you lift up the left panel there is another nut underneath it. This is the nut we are referring to.

I attached my grounds underneath the nut and underneath the tab that holds down the front floor.

Make sense?

Sorry Tim, you are confusing "front" with "right". The picture you are showing is the vehicle chassis ground. Grounding to that is that same as grounding to the battery itself.

I grounded to a plastic nut underneath the left storage unit.

Got it. Yes, Tim's picture shows where my updated "uber-ground" for the battery currently runs, so I wouldn't think THAT would be any better for eliminating "whine" than the battery itself. I will look for your ground, Doug, when I get back to "the project"! Thanks.

^^ Thanks fellas!! Now I am wondering if I need to move my ground to avoid noise!!

I got a few things finished up today. I mounted tha amps, which BARELY fit, wired up the crossovers in their new revised homes and put a few panels back together. I am getting a leather sample from leatherZ.com (Thanks you E55AMG2) for my Bezel, and am going to run by an apolstry shop Wed night to try to match up the trunk material for some trim panels. I am going to spend some time tomorrow running the GPS antenna under the dash and the Alpine microphone to the stock location near the rear view mirror.

^^ Thanks! The "Rat's nest" of wires is driving me crazy, but I can't see any other way to tuck them away. Not a lot I can do with what is there.....

Did you get everything squared away with that Pener Baffle template?
