That's the crap carpet in my media room that came with the house when I had it built, I hate it. Replacing it with some nice hardwood as soon as I finish my recessed lighting in my great room and replace the light fixtures in my dining room and kitchen. Wifey's orders...... But thanks!!

The final piece of hardware for the install showed up, my Nav drive NVE-P1. I was waiting for this because it comes with the bluetoothe mic and the GPS antenna. This piece was delayed because Alpine was waiting for a shipment for Japan

I also painted my amp rack black, and got it loaded up with the 2 amps and the power distribution block. I should have time to get the amp rack installed and all of the speaker wires hooked up tomorrow......

I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A PIECE OF BLACK NAPPA LEATHER FOR MY BEZEL IF ANYONE HAS A LEAD ON SOME!!!!!

Tim,
Where are you going to ground your amp, I added amp and now getting a low hissing sound thru speakers, I grounded my amp to one of the factory body bolts, their four bolts where the very front piece of carpet is attached too, i used the first bolt location on the left side.

Same ground I used - did you remember to scrape the paint off to ensure good metal to metal contact with no paint in the way?

Can you (or Doug) describe this location a little more or even better, post a pic? I really am at a loss to figure out what location you and Doug are describing! Thanks, and sorry for being dense!
