M5 exhaust systems and cool air intake?

Has anyone had any experience with any of the aftermarket exhaust systems available for the M5? Which do you prefer, for performance, sound, etc. Does anyone know if there are cool air intake systems available for the M5?? Thanks.

Skip,

Check out an earlier thread on this subject.

I have the Supersprint Magnums on my M5. They look great and sound fantastic. Of course, there are other great exhaust systems out there... Dinan and others..

I like Tubi exhaust both for the sound and build quality. You can order direct from Tubi at 616.396.1979

Parkerfe, it's not looking good to have the Tubis installed by Panoz Track Days from my view? I talked to the Tubistyle and they said they were expecting it the first week of November

Yes I know. I spoke with him this morning and he said he will know more at the end of the week. He did say my post have resulted in 26 orders for the exhaust for the M5.

They claimed it had a 'deep' rumble similiar to a v12 sound which contradicts the high pitch whine of the 355 which you said it closely matches.

Who is right!??!!?

I had the Dinan exhausts installed on my M5. They are much lighter than the stock exhausts and have more of the bad boy sound. They blow a lower note and are a little louder than stock exhausts. I believe they've hit the right balance without sounding obnoxious.
