I know a lot of people today have the X-pipes with either stock,Dinan, SS, B&B, Kelleners, etc..
My question is, do any of you have the X-pipes with the Dinan Software? Reason being is that I do and am constantly getting " Check Engine Soon" Dinan told me that it is because of the X-pipes. When they did the software, it was to run with stock pipes. So that is why I am getting fuel mixtures/flow issues. They want me to put the stocks back on and then correct the software so it functions properly with the new hardware (X-pipes).
I think I just might remove the Dinan Sofware completely. I know they will charge me for reprogramming the software to work for the X-pipes.
I've got the Dinan software with the x-pipes, and the check engine light only came on once, but for another reason.. they got that fixed and it hasn't come on again... don't think it's anything to do with the Dinan software... I think more people get the SES light without the Dinan software than with the software....

maybe you are lucky thus far. Mine only recently started doing this. I went to Dinan this morning and they are telling me it is the x-pipe, at least that's what their Tech Support team is telling them. They looked at the faults and seems the fuel mixture/adaptions are off. You are correct, DINAN is telling me it is not the Software but the Hardware. They will need to adjust the software to work with the new hardware.
I guess thus far, I am the only one with this problem. Thanks for your help.
I had a problem with the SES light soon after putting on my x-pipe and the diagnosis was a faulty cat. The tech thought he might have fried it driving it around town (after removing the stock exhaust) looking for something to stretch the x-pipe.
I have Stage II software because of the K&Ns and have had no problems with the SES light since replacing the cat. Car runs great.
The code that comes up as a "faulty cat" can also be triggered by a leak in the exhaust system. If you used clamps to attach the X pipe, have the joints rechecked for leakage. Many times, the clamps that come with systems are sub-par for the job. Even the ones supplied with our Tubi Style unit are not adequate in some situations. The stock tubing is so stout, that getting it to flex and make a snug fit is tough. Check your clamps and make sure that you are using something that will allow for a perfect circlular seal (many have a reinforcement at the clamp body which will interfere). Good luck!!!
$2K, ouch. I have a feeling that I am going to have a VERY tough time getting this done under warranty then. All dealers around here hate me cuz I have so much aftermarket stuff. I am pretty sure they will say no to warranty. How did you guys get them to OK it under warranty, did you go back to stock?
