Advice needed!!

Hi Guys! (wanted to test my skills with hobbystage for the 1st time)

Wanted to have your opinion about my decision:

Would you go for this baby?:

inside:

Side:

It is a beautiful M3 Cabrio 1999 with individual champagne full leather, optional nav screen, outside color is individual petrol mica.

My only concerne is that the dealer (official BMW) said the gearbox was exchanged in may 99 due the 3rd gear was always flipping out.
Also the engine hood has been exchanged and the indicator + small repainting there.

I mailed him today to ask him if it was a car that had a crash because on the internet he didn't write it was one.

55000km on it.
I have really fallen in love with it!

Please mail me what you think about it!
If no accident car I will be going for a test drive only in march (in germany) because I have exams before

cheers to all of you

P.s I guess I got the hang of hobbystage

That is a gorgeous M3. Go for it if it looks good.

If it has had paint work I would do a very careful inspection in many different sources of light to make sure the color is matched well. This is espescially important with an individual color. Otherwise i think the car is beautiful

I love the rims, color, and interior and I will always love the E36 M3

Looks great to me, I love the colors!

One suggestion I have is to ask to wash the car. Going over it in that much detail forces you to notice every nick, scratch, flaw, etc. Just walking around and checking it out will miss some potentially serious problems.

If the repair work was done properly, go for it!

Thats really sharp. Still one of the best looking convertibles around, and a great color combo.

The car does look good and it may be a great example but... if body rigidity is of importance to you then you might look at a different car - maybe a used E46 M3 cabriolet.

I went for a short test drive in a new '99 M3 and immediately noticed body flex as we left the dealer. I had just stepped out of my E39 so the difference was perhaps more noticeable than driving a car other than the super-ridged bodied E39.

If it's not an issue then look into it further. It looks real nice.

Btw, I don't have first hand experience with the new M3cab but I thought I had read something about the cab having decent rigidity in spite of it being a convertible.
