I am new to the board so first of all I must thank all of you. I have been reading here for ages and I have found a lot of very useful comments and more important a lot of people sharing the same passion ! I noticed lately friends and colleagues are getting a little bored with me talking about the beast all the time. So it's probably time for me to participate on this board and find some like minded people.
Now, because of snowy condition here in the north I had not been driving the beast for a month ! In the mean time I drove a C class 220 CDI (hired it during christmas holidays in France). IMO this car looks good but with a diesel engine and big turbo lag.......
Well at last the snow melted and I could take the beast out. It was like driving it for the first time, after letting the engine warm up I took the first opportunity to push her into redline in 2nd and 3rd before I had to cool down and
I had forgotten the feeling. Now I think I am going to drive other cars once in a while and enjoy the beast even more.
I'll post some race posts on the other forum to start with (Alpina 3,3 and a strange golf)
