          OT: X5 with ///M badge?

I saw a blue X5 today that also had the ///M badge on the left rear of the car (X5 badge was on the right side). I noticed that the X5 also had a different and more aggresive rear bumper and exhaust. This guy was flew past me weaving in and out of traffic.

Is this for real? Or did this person simply add the badge and aftermarket parts? My guess is the later... thoughts?

It seems that BMW decided against calling the X5 4.6is an MX5. They thought an SUV wasn't worthy of the ///M badge. I doubt you'll see an M version of the X5 anytime soon. The 4.6 is as far as BMW will venture.

as far as I know the M-X5 will be out within a year or so. the 4.6is is simply to be faster than the AMG- but BMW wanted to do more with the M version, so they didnt want to call this 4.6 version the M.

You kind of reminded me of somethign I saw today. I was walking down the street and noticed a blue 3 series parked at the side of the road. the engine was running and a guy and girl were in it. The windows were tintend and he ahd ground effects. It actually looked pretty nice, except that the fog lights were out of place.
I was anxious to see what it said on the back....
guess what i saw? it said V8 ///M Sorry buddy but you blew it there. I got a good laugh out of that....
I walked a little bit further down the street and yanked out my handy digital camera. I had full intentions of zooming in (from my safe distance) and getting a pic to shoow you guys. But by the time my camera booted up, he was gone

          Funny though.
