CNS Racing Exhaust Review

Some of you may have seen my post awhile back after I got rear ended by a Yellow Cab on September 3rd 2008. My M5 was hit by a Yellow Cab I finally got the car back this past Friday November 21st. 2008. Wagonworks in Alexandria, Virginia does some top notch work. Their staff is always very helpful and Mike Anderson the owner is very responsive to his customers. Here is a link to their website: Wagonwork Collision Center - Auto body shop ACURA Audi BMW Honda Hyundai Infiniti Isuzu Land Rover Lexus Mazda Mercedes Benz Mitsubishi Nissan Porsche SAAB Subaru Toyota Volvo VW auto body collision repair center shop best recommended highly rated au If you want to have the work done right the first time then take it to them. I went in and expected to find something wrong. The Navigation was the only thing broken internally. I took the DVD's out of the car incase the vehicle was going to be totaled.

I purchased the CNS racing exhaust after hearing all the exhaust on youtube. I must have listen to every exhaust out there 5-6 times. I would literally spend hours on the weekend on YouTube. The exhaust sounds like not I have heard before. Needless to say I went driving for awhile this weekend. I could not get enough of it. I had a UUC exhaust on my 330 ZHP and the noise levels were about the same. I honestly thought it was quiet when I first picked the vehicle up. The M5 is well insulated so it is just a little bit louder than stock. If you are below 2k RPM there is a little bit of drone but who the hell leaves an M5 in that RPM range anyways. WOT the thing screams. If I am next to a jersey wall or going under a bridge I always downshift and accelerate hard. Once I find a way of taking some videos I will post them up. The video of the exhaust on YouTube does not do the system justice.

Once I am able to get a video

That upgrade is on my short list. Did you do just the cans? I'm looking at doing the SS headers and racing cats along with the CNS cans.

CNS Racing built me a custom exhaust from the cat back. It's an x-pipe with no resonators and their mufflers.

Hello everyone,

We are now offering two options for the CNS Racing Power Exhaust System. We have a complete plug and play CAT back system which includes an X-pipe and we also offer the mufflers sold separately as a pair for the customers who prefer to install them at a local exhaust shop. All Supersprint products are also available including the High flow catalytics and X-pipe.

We have received excellent reviews from all our customers on this system and we will honor the $100 coupon code "M5board" for either of the kits sold.

Thank you,

Thanks AMCBimmer for letting me checkout your exhaust setup. I have heard many different exhausts on our beasts, but was really suprised with the the sound quality from yours. Placed a order for my cans from CNS today, will have to wait for the x-pipe from Supersprint to ship.

Can't wait, hopefully we can catch some good quality video clips and post them.

What other videos of the CNS exhaust have you found? I only found the one with the supersprint headers and the works.

Hey Diny,

I did not find any other videos aside from the same one your talking about. I heard AMCBimmer's exhaust in person. Great sound!

Have you heard any other exhausts in person as to be able to give me a comparison? I know what Magnaflows sound like as well as Eisenmann Race with xpipe.

Lets see, so far I have heard the Eisenmann Race and Kelleners with X-pipe, Tubi Rumore with X pipe, and Dinan in person. Heard multiple ones online, but pretty hard to get a good quality sound video.

I loved the way Kelleners and Tubi's sounded, exotic, deep tone, although they were on the border of being too loud for me. The price of those system was another factor that deterred me.

As for CNS, I really loved the way they sounded. Nice deep tone, not that loud at idle. Great sound as you go through the revs, really hard to explain without hearing it in person. The price was another selling point in my decision.

The CNS system I heard was the full cat back system. I really loved the sound compared to other systems.

Hope to post clips as soon as I get the system installed.
