What brand of aftermarket gas pedal should I get?
Hello Everybody,
The huge gap between the gas and brake pedals has driven me nuts for several thousand miles on my M5, and I must fix this problem, since I constantly mess up downshifts by "missing" the gas entirely on the blip (yes, my foot hits air).
I'm thinking of removing the gas pedal (only) and replacing it with a wider pedal, so the distance between the gas and the brake pedal will be significantly reduced. I'm somewhat afraid to mess with the brake pedal, since if it comes off, that could be very unfortunate.
What brand should I get?
(I don't want to replace the gas pedal with something else the same size, as it must be significantly wider....)
I welcome any advice.

I haven't had any luck finding a gas pedal cover that's "tall" enough to cover the M5 gas pedal! I tried a few with the exception of the one from ACS and they're all too short in height although they were wide enough. I would like to also find the perfect gas/brake pedal covers too.

Ditto! I ordered the OMP pedals (ferrari OEM) and the gas was too short.

Oops, my misread... you haven't tried the ACS pedals yet. How about Kelleners?

Kellener's gas pedal is not any larger than stock, but does fit perfectly over the stock unit. I tries the UUC pedal and it too was too short.
I havent seen anything oversized.

I have the ACS pedals on my M3 and will also have them fitted to my new M5 before I take delivery. Expensive but worth it!!!

Does anyone have pictures of the Kellener's pedals?

Are they wider than the stock pedals? Do they reduce the distance between the edges of the gas and brake pedals?

You probably have seen the pictures of ACS pedals but here is again how they look (on my E34 based Alpina B10 BiTurbo).
