You mean, add navigation information to the instrument cluster? Or add a navigation to a car without navigation as an option?

Not so sure what you mean. Are those pics of your car or do you only have the computer?
If you donīt have the nav sys in your computer (CD or DVD) then there is a mighty upgrade for you.
What abt a pic of your instrument cluster) And which year M5 do you have?
A smart solution is to buy a separate GPS which in all probability also can direct you in your own language. My BMW GPS only speaks English and German, not Swedish.

If this is what your center console looks like, then adding nav is as simple as plugging it in in the rear.

If you don't have the screen up front then you'll need to add an entire wiring harness and you should go with MGZ's recommendation.

MGZ - the nav speaks at least 3 languages, and while i won't guarantee Swedish you should look over on x5world.com

That looks like an amplifier and cd changer, correct? I would also expect to see a tv module in there somewhere given the display on your MID.

Before you get too excited, look for the connectors, since there are a few you'd need to complete the conversion - it is entire possible that the MID uses a different wiring harness than the bordmonitor / radio and is not prewired. Tucked up behind the panel to the left in your picture and on top of the wheel well you should find a blue and a purple connector. Those are the nav connectors. If you can find them, you should be all set for Nav. If you can't, then it is entirely likely (and probably the more I think about it) that the Nav and non-Nav wiring harnesses are different enough to prevent you from installing the nav without a new harness...

Do you live in Bahrain?

Does BMW offer a ***MAP CD OR DVD*** that covers Bahrain?

If the answer to the last question is 'no', why are you doing this?

BMW Bluetooth Retrofit Information

I don't know if they are still a board sponsor, but they sell (albeit pricey compared to ebay) navigation kits. You could probably find a MK1 or Mk2 on ebay for cheap. You'll have to find map CD's (not DVD) for it to work. Otherwise, if you can only get a DVD, then you'll need to buy the MK4.
