MK3 software update, I have it all

For those of you like me who searched the many many threads to get copy of an older version of the navi but could not as well as getting clone cd or the key CD, I have your solution.

I just upgraded to V22.1(from here on they are all the same with MK3, and reading posts, its actually dangerous of going higher than V25) flawlessly without any kind of trouble. I went to the dealer today and they wanted 155 dollars for the upgrade, so I searched and searched and got all the software from many different sites.

This is what I have
V22.1
Key CD for those who have older versions and needs this key cd in order to finish upgrading
Clone CD for making an image file(make sure to burn at 1x speed)

If any of my fellow board members are interested post your email and I will send the files out. I wish I had a FTP site I could upload them on... if anybody knows of a ftp site let me know, and I will upload them there.

For those who already did this long time ago, sorry guys for the new thread, I just thought maybe there were people like me out there who were late in trying to upgrade their navi.

BTW, It looks good. Now if only I can get a updated navi map disc~~!!

Cheers

I'm interested:
fumando at comcast dot net
Which process did you follow to upgrade it?

Thank you in advance. I love this board. I spent a couple hours trying to get the latest software and ended up with dead links and all the wrong stuff.

My software "version" shows in the OBC as 3-1/50. My dealer says there is no upgrade from this. I don't understand the difference in nomenclature. Anyone know how to tell whether this is an upgrade or just what I already have in my 05/02 build?

V20.11-1/72 (8.0)2-1/803-1/604-1/12Released 11/2002 - The MK4
units were shipped with 4-1/10 from the factory at the start (from 09/02
to 10/02) but this version had some known bugs and therefore BMW put the
text "T20.10" as a dealer reminder to upgrade with the V20.1 CD when
available.
This 4-1/10 software for MK4 has never been released
on any CDs since it was a temporary beta software they had to rush out
since all cars from 09/02 would have the new DVD based MK4 unit.

The V20.1 CD will install 4-1/12 and remove the text
"T20.10" at the start up screen. The only software version that has this
text is the beta version of 4-1/10 that was used at the factory for a
short period while finishing the 4-1/12 that was released on the V20.1
CD.

Thats where all my info came from.
I had to use alcohol120% to burn the Key CD as no other one worked.

All done now.

I Put a how to and where to find the links on the Thread, which includes DOWNLOADS for Software.

What Nav Software Upgrade?

On MkIII it only upgrades to 3-1/63 at the best I think after that you need DVD MkIV.

Hope this helps
