          Crashed 535 story

          Ivan Dias,

Noticed in your sig that something happened to the 535. Couldn't handle all that MOS power could you? Or was the crash a result of your homoligation work in order to become a registred manufacturer ala Alpina? Story coming up shortly i hope.

          Regards/Robert

I`ll post it soon I promise.

The car got crashed last March. I`ve rebuilt it, but having problems with the exhaust, and once that is done then its down the garage to see if everything is straight, else God only knows how many hours labour down the drain.
If your interested, then look at my website, there are some before and after pictures. I have no training in mechanics, and had done nothing bigger than change a wheel before this episode.

Check this out... I crashed at 5 mph, in reverse !!

Check this out... Ģ3500 damage !! Thats $5,073.62

Or another way, possibly the most expensive crash per Mph ??
Maybe a poll is in order.

I start off with $1014.72 per mph

          Anyone do better ?

I have not included any bonus multiplier that I think I deserve for being in backwards gear at the time !!

          Ivan.

          ...handle all that MOS power...

That MOS post has hit 14,000 reads here, by far the most read post on the site.

It took me four to five times over my websites bandwidth during December 2001.

There have been 74342 requests for pages referred direct through www.bmwm5.com

My website has been hit 82384 times in Dec alone, and 48000+ people went through the front door since October when it started.

You cannot find my website on a search engine, I never submitted it, every single hit is thru word of mouth/email/web links !!

The six MOS pictures have been independantly downloaded from 8992 times for picture 1, to 6805 for the last one.

MOS has been re-posted on about twelve different manufacturers fans forums and car sites that I know of, some referring back to bmwm5.com, most saying "look what I`ve found" and reposting anonymously, and some twat on the VW site who said that his mate from the BMW dealer made it. I work for Toshibas biggest UK laptop distributor, not a BMW dealer!!

Countries that have visited; The best were, Dec 2001 only :

          42194: .com (Commercial)
2127: .edu (USA Educational) - get back to school !!
1276: .pl (Poland) - hi poland! So many!!
288: .mil (USA Military) - "Sir, polar bears Sir"
78: .hr (Croatia) - Guys, the electrics back on...
45: .arpa (Old style Arpanet) - "It`s just a jump to the left..."
26: .nu (Niue) -What or where the hell is Nieu?
19: .bn (Brunei Darussalam) - Hi. Can I come live here ?
15: .th (Thailand) - Sweet, sweet memories....
6: .tv (Tuvalu) - Sorry, no idea.
          3: .jo (Jordan) - Hi!
2: .by (Belarus) - You two know each other?

          Cripes !!

I need you all to sign up to ebay.co.uk thru my site !! It pays me $4 and is free to do for you. LOL

          I`m going to be a dot.com millionaire.... by 2099 !!

Really good average you got there, Ivan. I doubt anyone will beat that...

Itīs a good thing BMW doesnīt set the prices of their vehicles in this way. A 535i=145mph=over $145000

Nah, that's for rank amatures! BMW charges $200 to fix a $2 swaybar bracket that breaks while parked in your garage doing ZERO speed
