Nav System Door
Is anyone else having trouble keeping the side panel that houses the CD and NAV system in place? Everytime I open the trunk this panel is down. I click it in place, but perhaps I am missing something.

Mine seems to have two stages to its catch - the first may just be it snagging on the trunk seal, but if I push it harder it latches fine.

Yep, I'm having the same problem. It's in the BMW shop today to have the NAV bracket modified to allow the door to close properly. The BMW dealer, SF BMW, stated that he has had 3 2000 M5's in with the same problem.

I had the same problem. The dealer simply made an adjustment and now its fine.

I have the same problem. It's going tomorrow to the dealer for a fix. Seems to be a common problem.

Mine fell twice before I realized that there seems to be a closed and a "latched" position. CLose it up and then press on the top edge of the handle. It should "click" into place. Mine has not fallen open since I figured that out.
