Installed Dinan rear sway bar on stock suspension

Hey all,

I was offered the Dinan sway bar at an amazing price (at cost and with no labor charge), so I had to take it!

What I noticed when they took out my old bar was that the left mount was broken! So that means the bar was resting on the exhaust for x amount of miles. And I didnt even notice!

The car handles a bit better, I have the bar set in the middle position. I think the car will have a little less understeer, but I have yet to push it. I am on snow tires right now. The ride feels pretty stock, no difference.

Tomorrow, if the weather is good I will try to push it a bit and see how it feels.

No damage, I think all of the recent snow has made the bar stick to the exhaust with all of that salt!! hahaha!

Rocket, do you have just the rear bar or both front & rear bars with your stock suspension? You mentioned only the rear in your Subject Line but your signature says you have 'Dinan F&R Bars'. I'm interested to hear how it changes the car's handling. Please keep us posted.

Yeah i gotta update my signature. The F&R bars are the strut braces.

Dinan only makes a rear sway bar, and I got that now. I will keep you guys up to date with the performance gain.

Dinan sets the sway bar on the softest setting not the middle on all their M5 setups. Those swaybar mounts break easy. Check them often and keep a spare around.

I believe Johan said there is an updated BMW mount that doesn't break.
