Let opportunity slip me by.

I was looking at getting my first M5. This is what I was looking at. However, when I contacted them, they said that they just sold the car. It looks that it was in excellent condition. Oh well, I guess I will have to wait for my baby to come around.

I was looking around for some well kept 2001 or higher M5s with low miles. This car attracted me due to its blue/black nappa point leather interior. If you look at the quality of the leather after this much time....it def. looks well kept. There is a carfax history report if anyone cares to look at it. Please comment on this car....(bad or good)....as it will only push me to get into an M5. Thanks.

Nice car but I'm not a fan of that interior. You will find your car. Don't worry.

That is a nice looking car. I am a big fan of LMB. I wanted solid black interior and could not find one to my liking during my search.

One thing that is a must with these cars is a pre-purchase inspection. Whatever you do, make sure you get one prior to purchasing the car. Another good rule of thumb is to drive several examples of M5's to get a "feel" of the vehicle. You will then have somewhat of a gauge to compare cars against.

Good luck with your search!

Get a PPI from a trustworthy vendor who has your best interests in mind. Get a BMW service history to see how the car was cared for whilst under factory warranty. Don't forget there is a For Sale section on this board, as well. Good luck. Be patient.

Atlanta is a big market. You should be able to find plenty of examples there to check out and drive before you find "the one". Ditto on the PPI - it's money well spent. You will not find a used m5 that doesn't have *something* that needs to be fixed.

Good luck,

Michael

She was a looker alright.

Out of interest...why do American cars have yellow inserts in the indicators where as Euro ones have a silvertech bulb?

what exactly does the "sport package" on the E39 M5 include? Also, somehow the description states "ALL OPTIONS" when the park sensors obviously are missing?

Isn't it a DOT thing? They require yellow/amber/orange signal lights/indicators for differentiation.
