Price being not an object in this poll.

Consider from most important to least:
1. style, exterior and interior
2. long distance comfort, say beyond 500 miles
3. enjoyment to drive as performance street car, not for tracking
4. engine sound
5. low maintenance cost/durability of the car after thousands of mile

And Z8 and SL55 are the best! How much FUN FUN FUN it would be to own both of them, one complements the other so perfectly. I LOVE those two cars. To Hell with everyone, there is just one more seat for a girlfriend or a wife. Everyone else goes separately :p

Mr Janne,
I didn't know that until now that you've told me. Well, rule out the TVR then. What's left now? Let's see. Oh I know, Porschekinggf kinggf

Maybe I should've included the newest from Porsche: Carrera GT, which was official for production on Jan 8 during Detroit Auto Show.

Or Porsche GT2 maybe?

What do u think?

Dan,

You took delivery of the A-M? I know you had ordered it, but didn't know you had it (sorry, I've been away from the board for a while). You are the man! That is one of my dream cars. How are you enjoying it, and what else is in your stable? Unfortunately. living where I do right now, it is not possible for me to drive in anything that will get too much notice from other than an enthusiast in the know. For me, the Beast fits the bill perfectly (being debadged, most people just think its a 5 series, of which there are many around, with a spoiler).

Regards, Ken:byee55amg
No, I wish. That car isn't due til '03, and supposedly they're doing an engine upgrade, so I ordered an '04 model at a 15% discount (makes sense to me, get a newer car with a more powerful engine, sell the old one AND make money on the new one? Can't be beat). I've spoken to people who own them (few, obviously), and that's where I'm coming from.

Porsche GT2 is really stiff , it's not very comfortable for 500+ miles IMO what you told... and it hasn't got a real trunk

It's a sports car , more sport than the turbo ...

GT's:

Aston vanquish
Aston DB7 vantage
Bmw Z8
Mercedes SL55
Mercedes CL63
Maserati GT
Ferrari 456M
Ferrari 550
Bentley Continental  (nah , it's not "sport" enough)
TVR Cerbera (this one is better quality for sure)
Jaguar XKR

That's pretty much everything that i can think of

The reason why there is no Ferrari here is due to its high cost of maintenance ($4000 at least for every service encounter) and low quality.

...

Ferrari 550 Maranello was ruled out because of quality issue and high cost of maintenance.
:confused2:

I've only had my 550 for three years and 13000 miles, but I've never had any abnormal quality issues with it.

$4000 per visit is crazy. That must be a California thing.

Maybe my dealer is waiting for me to buy some more Ferrari's before screwing me over????

My 15000 mile service interval is approaching. I'll report on how it goes...
