Well, gang... You won't believe what happened to me today? I received a page from the manager at Momentum Performance Center (those are the guys who do all the work on the BEAST) that I have won first prize in the drawing they had and I am going to the 24 hours at Daytona at the end of the month. Get this? Airfare, VIP seats with the Momentum team (they'll be in the race with an Italian car - "Picchio"), hotel, and all accomodations...!!!!
I bought the tickets a while back there (for charity) and was joking around with them about the fact that I really really wanted to win (of course thinking all along that I would not win). Go figure!!
Anyway, I will be leaving with the team on Jan. 28th and return on Feb. 4th, the day after the race! Man, I can't wait!!
I will of course bring along my digital camera and camcorder and post pics and details afterwards.
ps: Watch out for me on Speedvision?! I'll be the guy with the big grin on my face!
