OT: Roof Rack for E39 touring and X3 / X5s with roof bar

I know I'm in the wrong place..

I have OEM Roof Rack for my E39 M5, but taking bikes around with the beast is a little.... awkward and overkill...

I have a E39 wagon, with the roof bars, and am wondering if the X3 / X5 racks (OEM) would fit the E39, since they all have similar bars? except maybe the width of the vehicle is different?
