perma plate paintguard

I'm in the middle of working a deal on a new '02 Imola. The dealer wants to throw in a PermaPlate Paintguard treatment for "free". I can accept or decline, it wont change the price of the car. It seems to be some kind of super wax that only authorized dealers are permitted to apply.

Does anyone know about this? Is it recommended? Should I avoid it?

Thanks, another_lap
