Any way to deactivate the tire monitoring system?

Mine is driving me bananas, it continually gives me false alerts.

wasn't there just a thread on this?
You press the button on the dash, it will say "tire pressure inactive" on the MID, and then it's off.

Yes, I tried to reset it and nothing happens. Turn the key to #2 position and then hold the button for 15 seconds? I could hold it for 15 hours and nothing happens.

Pushing the button to deactivate it every time I start the car is annoying. I hate how the display on the cluster has the fault arrows on it.

Thanks anyways.

I don't remember if it is 15 second or not,
but the procedure is:

Turn the key to #2 position and then hold the button until the message "SET TIRE PRESSURE" appear on the display. (check page 82 on the manual book).

Regardz,

J Irwan

Pretty sure you need the seat belt engaged before you start the TPM process.

Maybe it's a US spec car thing? The fasten seat belt message will not go away on my car until I engage the belt.
