BMW Individual / Custom Color ??

OK, ok, ok.. I must say that this is the WORLD's Best Forum for M Lover's like myself!!!

I know this topic maybe getting old, but... I am having a BEAST of a problem trying to figure out if there is any such thing as ordering a new M5 with a color other than the standard M5 colors (as of today there are 10 colors). I have read almost every post regarding custom colors, etc. and everyone seems to agree that the U.S. dealerships allow us to do such a thing, but what gets me is the survey results that are posted on this forum do not suggest or show any Individual or Custom Colors at ALL!!

If ANY U.S. M5 owner, who purchased their BEAST here in the States - ordered an Individual Color, or any color besides the factory stock options, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHERE, WHEN, HOW, and $$$!!!

Hey Doc,

The reason you don't see many pics of individual colors is:

1) very few people in the US have done this. I only know of 3 on the board.

2) dealing with $tealers is already a PITA. The additional hassle, $, longer production time are just not worth it imo.

3) the 10 standard colors BMW offers appeal to most buyers. For example, if I could get a 2nd beast, Imola would be the one! (mid-life crisis perhaps ) Le Mans for the cool days, Imola for the devilish days ... but officer I was just following my friend

I'll step aside let those who've ordered via the Individual program chime-in.

Individual Colors

Guys, I'm the owner of the Velvet Blue car Blue Max posted above.....I think people are making a MOUNTAIN out of a molehill here......The only thing I did was inquire with my local dealer having the exact individual paint code that I wanted. It added $2120 to the cost of the car and takes an additional 4-6 weeks for delivery. That is ALL I did.........JeffS

shoot me a private email if you have any other specific questions!!
