Castrol TWS 10W60 $24.00/quart

I got the "check engine oil level" message when I turned my
car off the other day after a 250 mile trip. The oil was about
a 1/2 qt low. When I went to the dealer, they had TWS 10w60
for only $21.50 a quart ! This didn't include gst/pst which
I think adds another 12% so I think it would have been about
$24.00 CAD or $24.27 USD.

Ah, I'll take the BMW Synthetic for $10.50 / quart please.... This
was at the Toronto BMW dealer.

To hell with buying wine futures, I want TWS futures

Wow!
I'm glad I'm using the BMW 5W-30 at $ 7.21 per quart from my dealer.

BMW of Honolulu is also at $20 a bottle. I ended up shipping in 3 cases from a CA dealer at $7.50 or so a bottle. I am stocked up for now.

Can anyone explain the difference in these prices? Is it just dealer greed? Out of curiosity, how much should BMW 5w30 be at a dealer?

For my dealer its half greed, half no competition, and half shipping hazmat materials over the world's largest ocean.

OMG! $21.50 a quart? I hope they included a bottle of vaseline as well, cuz that's really sticking it to you!
