Exclamation EMERGENCY choice fix in V.18 Software

If you have the 8000 phone and V.18 software upgrade, you may be missing the EMERGENCY choice in the main menu now. If so, you just have to take it to your dealer and request that they change the software to USA using the DIS analyzer. I did this yesterday and everything is back to normal. It also changes the Nav measurements to feet again as opposed to yards. The software also seems somewhat faster now. I apologize if this has already been mentioned.

hmm.. I thought the software that most of us downloaded were the US version already.. maybe I'm mistaken.. but if this DIS analyser thing speeds up the system, I think everyone should go to the dealer to see if it can be applied to them with or without the phone!

It is the US version of software we are downloading, but it must be "formatted" as such by the DIS computer.

Hi Dr. Kev,

That's strange, because when I upgraded to v18, the system kept everything in U.S. Format -- including the Emergency button. Did you use the "key CD"? Or did your dealer do the upgrade for you?
