Rear Wheels on Front......Extended Wheel Lugs...???

Managed to get a pair of rear wheels to put on the front and organised 5mm spacers........What length wheel studs/bolts do I need to get....???? I'm not with the car at the moment, so cant take off a stud and measure it up to see what the standard size is and then plus 5mm.......Help.

Standard is 25mm which is the threaded length. You would need 30mm bolts.

I used a 30mm, but with a 3mm spacer. Luke @ TireRack.

The OEM bolts are 25mm long, for 3mm spacers I used 28mm bolts from Turner Motorsport.

You should use 3mm spacers, not 5mm. The extra 2mm will prevent your wheels from indexing properly on the hubs, leading to wobble and vibration. Do a search on this. Widely documented.

"Is it the sounds that make a BMW a BMW? A BMW is designed to be heard, felt, experienced. So our engines sing. Our steering talks back. And we insist on offering manual transmissions in nearly all our models for drivers who crave them. The result is an almost telepathic oneness with the car. Just as surely as you can hear a BMW, a BMW hears you."
