After wanting an E39 M5 for over 10 years (since about sophomore year in high school. I was different and didn't dream of owning a Supra or NSX haha), I have FINALLY picked up my '02 Alpine White M this past July! The car was more than worth the 10 year wait! Swooped it up with only 74k miles, black interior and mint condition.

M5

This car is amazing! After having a 540i with all the mods. I thought this would be close. This m5 is unreal! Enough power and luxury to satisfy anyone! I have had the pleasure of driving my friends e46 m3 and can really say this e60 just kills it in every way!

Noob

Hello, all. Glad to be a part of this great community! I've been lurking for about a week till I got approved to post, and I'm very impressed with the M5 board overall. Just last weekend I made the decision that an e39 M5 will be my next car, later this year. The decision was largely due to the great enthusiasm and support on this board. I'm a die-hard DIYer and motorhead and rod bearings don't scare me.

Only problem is that I've caught this dang thing I call M5 fever and I want one NOW when I know I need to wait a little while. Can't sleep at night, always reading the board, etc. I'll shoot for late summer/fall to start looking but it will be a long wait!

Cheers,
Al
