Squeeking Clutch Pedal

My clutch pedal has started making a squeeking noise everytime i depressed or release it. Its driving me mad, any idea's on how to solve this? How about a shot of WD40?

I had that problem recently and it bugged the hell out of me. How did I fix it?

Get under there and directly above the clutch pedal and to the left of the car you're gonna see a rod that looks orange (almost like copper). It's easy to spot since it's the only thing of that color. Spray it with WD40 (or some grease for good measure). and then depress the pedal a few times to work it into it. I heard that if you use WD40, that you gotta keep applying it after a while, though. Grease, on the other hand.....is longer lasting.

get some white lithium grease in a spray bottle. Will definitely outlast WD40.

I think UUC makes some plastic or heavy duty insullator that would solve that problem. That in combination with some WD-40 or some Wurth grease would probably eliminate that issue. Check their website and you will find it. If not, Rob (owner of UUC) states that not all of his products are listed on the website, so call him. The number there is: 908.874.9092. Good luck. Let me know how you make out, because I actually have been experiening the same issue for a long time. :/

I've got the squeaky clutch also, so annoying...thanks Diny for the advice, hopefully I can get time to get under there soon and look for it. Sounds easy to find - did you have to remove that tray underneath? I'm a new M5 owner so this will be my first time getting underneath it!

correct me if im wrong, but isn't wd-40 a degreaser or gum/grease removal solvent?

i think if the clutch pedal is getting sticky and stuck or just needs a good cleaning (of gunk), then go wd40, but grease it anyways.

Don't see how this can drive you guys mad. Depress clutch pedal...small squeek...start engine..squeek gone. All is left is sweet v8 rumble with every shift depending on your exhaust setup of course. Unless you just like playing with the clutch pedal with the engine off. It's the crunching noise of the door seals that drives me nuts. Oh..hold on..have a fix for that. Crack all four windows a few mms open, turn radio up a few notches..problem solved... Hey, its a beast not a Lexus.

It squeaks every time you release the clutch, which we must do every time we shift...which is often.

Oh ok. I can see how that can drive one bananas. In my case, I hear the squeak only when the engine is off and I depress the clutch right before engine start. Once the engine is running and during shifts, I don't notice any squeak.
