I have just greased mine and I still get the squeak. To me it sounds as if it is coming from behind the foot well not the pedel mechanisum.

Dealer fixed my squeak after my few attempts squirting various lubes in the general direction of the mechanism. Fixed now and hasn't returned but has a slightly sticky point part way out that doesn't effect things.
