What are some of the major functionality differences between the two systems?

And I'd like to add the following question to this thread (no, I'm not hijacking!!):

Who here has bought one of the above systems, how much paid, and where did you get it?

I'm in the market sometime to buy a GT1, as I own two late model BMWs and the nearest dealer is far, far, away.

There is no comparison in terms of functionality.

The GT1 has the ability to programme and code new or old modules,much more in depth fault finding ability and an info system developed by BMW themselves.

If im honest Carsoft which we've owned for 7 years and had every update is slightly lacking in its programming ability,and data logging-although it is good value although it is not in depth with M cars but is very good on 05-07 1/3/5/7 models.

The GT1 is total dealer level up to 2007,they have now upgraded again though i believe.
