Angel Eyes comparison.

So I'm wanting to upgrade my angel eyes, and I'm trying to decide what to get. So far it seems to be a decision between Unimitza and AngeliBright. From what I'm seeing, the AngeliBrights are $300 and have a ballast (why I don't know), are they HID? The Uminitza's are $150 and are LED and seem to be a good choice.

Any thoughts?

Do a search. There is a group buy in Progress on the Angel i Brights ($250 I think) I had Umnitza and switched. The AIB's are a single piece plug and play. THe unmitzas have a ballast and several wires. Have to tie wrap stuff or it looks bad (wires everywhere). AIB much cleaner install. On the other hand, the Umnitza's are cheaper and have one advantage: They have a wire you can splice in so the Angels are on as DRL's (Daytime running lights).

Here are my Umnitza ones from right about Dusk.

I believe the AIB's are brighter but I am happy at the moment with mine.

Umnitza here, however I did upgrade the LED bulb prior to any of the release of some of the brighter versions. There are drivers attached, but not big ballasts.

I think ease of use on the AIBs is just the best. One piece unit and is PnP. Last i saw the AIB V3s and the news umnitzas on two e39s side by side, i noticed the Umnitza was a little too "hyper white" and the AIB was this spot on bright white color. I would say AIB for ease of use and the more elegant color output. Its pretty nice to hold them, they are solid metal and very well built!

Umnitzas here. I did the 5watt LED upgrade with them which makes them a little brighter. AIB's look good too, but I'm content with what I have.
