        Supersprint exhaust hanging crooked..

        Hey all,

Let;s first get one thing strait, I may be the biggest fan of the supersprint exhaust system, and I wouldn't change them for anything! Anyone who knows me, knows that I love them!

        Ok back to the post:

My car was on the lift today at my local shop and i noticed that my supersprint exhausts were a bit 'wall-eyed.' I thought that they were not hung properly, but since the exhausts were mounted properly, i deducted that it had to be the actual fabrication that was 'off'. Are the pipes improperly bent?? Are the tips crooked? I know these exhaust are partially hand made, would this be why!?? Does anyone esle have this problem?

        Rocket,

Under hard acceleration does it have a bend to the left?
If so, it sounds genetic, and prolly nothing you can do about it....If it doesn't affect your performance, I wouldn't worry about it!

I know you said you looked at it today when it was on the lift but you can put it up on our lifts when you get it detailed. We can take a look and see of anything is bent and or broken. You may have broken a clamp.

Mine were like that when I first got them. Actually it was just the left side that looked squew. Anyway I took it back to the installer and he "fixed" it but he said it was a bitch to get that one side straight. Maybe be the down side of individualaity

        TC,

I will take up your offer about the lift when I get the car cleaned.

        Barry,

Thank goodness someone else has/had this problem. Did you ever find out how they fixed it?

hmm.. seems like ALL the aftermarket exhausts that I've seen have a funny angle on the left side.... maybe it's a problem with the design of the car itself in that area?
