Spring Rates

For those of you who have done aftermarket suspension upgrades, what springrates did you use?

On my M3, which weighs in at 3500lbs, I have 500 at each corner.

Heavier car, just interested in what you all have used and if you like it or not.

Best Regards,

Kirk

Knowing the spring rates isn't all you need...you must also know the leverage ratio of both cars, front and rear, in order to determine the spring rate at the wheel. Then you can make some valid comparisons.

The golden setup for mixed street and track from Ground Control is 430 front and 380 rear (linear springs). Many coil-over kits are progressive springs so it's hard to know what they are. Do a search - it's well documented on this board.

What keywords, was having a bit of an overwhelming response with most of them.
