I got my lift from American Automotive Equipment. They frequently have sales. The lowest I've seen is around $1700 plus shipping.
I had to modify my garage door to clear the top car but other than that, it's a pretty straight forward install.
It does provide a good place to store an extra car but the shifting and moving to drive the top car can be a pain; as can hitting your head on the ramps when you get out of the lower car (but you learn very fast to duck).
I think there are several good mfg's out there. I could be wrong, but it appears most of the sellers get their steel for the frame from China; but it appears the pneumatic portion and the motor is often made in America.
