A common defense from the "ugly" attack is "well you just don't get it." And honestly, who in the BMW board of directors wants to be told that they dont "get" art? Especially when they're being told by this big shot designer who could come across as "the s h i t" when it came to design so he obviously knows what he's talking about.

And as for the F10...oh man that's both good and bad. Bad because it's horrible! Look at those headlight eye lids! Makes it look as if the car is gonna fall asleep. And good because it'd still mean that we'd own the best-looking M5s

Thought I'd represent the M5board just in case my photoshop goes elsewhere so I put a little tag on it!

Looks better! Great job with Photoshop.

Can you possibly make the kidney grills a little more smaller?

Iit'd need wider headlights then. Too much space between the grills and the headlights.

Now, I think that looks sharp! Thank you! Wow!

That's exactly what's missing with the new E60 M5 - the WOW factor.

First time I saw the E39 M5 - WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta have one!

Thanks again. That car looks sharp!

Regardless of what M5 you guys are designing, as long as the engine has a dipstick to check motor oil, then I am happy. Forget the need for iDrive. Functional cupholders and a manual transmission would be great too.

I understand.

Dang BMW - first, the annoying iDrive. Most people hate it but BMW is sticking by it so expect all future BMW's to have iDrives.

I simply hate going through a bunch of sub-menus to adjust a simple item.

Now, no dipstick. I really have no objection to that if they can assure us that oil level sensor they use is 100% reliable. But I dont think they can guarantee that. So in order to prevent running out of oil and finding out too late already - ending up with a destroyed engine - I stil think a dip stick shall be installed.

I understand most future BMW models will have no dispstick. Dang!

That 5 series still reminds me of the new c-class. I think this weekend I'll have to spend a little time changing a few things on photoshop

Excellent! Look forward to seeing new photos.

Yes, the front bumper needs a little work. The front air dam needs to be shaped more like the M5's instead of the regular 5 series.

BTW, I eMailed Tom Purvis and showed him your proposed design. Dont be surprised if he makes you a job offer
