San Francisco Bay Area: Check a car and indy mechanic recommendations?

Hi guys:

I'm looking at an E39 M5 from the Bay Area (Oakland), and I'm wondering of one of you guys would be so kind as to go check it out for me?

Also, if you guys can recommend a good indy shop for a pre-purchase inspection on the car, that would be awesome. I'll have the dealer take it there if we settle on a price.

Thanks!

Sorry, can't help with checking it out but for a good shop, try www.bavpros.com. I take my car there for all my needed work.

Thanks bud. What's your name? I'd like to use it as a reference. Normally I'd take it to BMS (see my thread, CHris is amazing), but it's just too far .

Yeah, Bav Pros are really terrific. They are one of the best in the bay area, period, but tops especially for the east bay. Contact Nat Sears.

Future - F10 M5 with manual transmission?

"Is it the sounds that make a BMW a BMW? A BMW is designed to be heard, felt, experienced. So our engines sing. Our steering talks back. And we insist on offering manual transmissions in nearly all our models for drivers who crave them. The result is an almost telepathic oneness with the car. Just as surely as you can hear a BMW, a BMW hears you."
