Fuel consumption and top end power issue

Car's completely stock except for RE SSK, about 80% city and I can only manage about 200 miles per tank, is that bad?

And lately, 1st & 2nd gear feels fine up to redline, but once 3rd, it just seems it pulls much lazier than it was before... Other than that, everything seems fine. Where should I be looking if I get bad fuel consumption and bad higher end power?

Do the fuel flow test at WOT.

That will tell you how good your MAFs are.

I was gonna say, sounds like your MAFs are in need of replacement.

OR you may need to replace your fuel filters.

Probably MAFs, but how much gas do you fill with ??? In other words, allow the reserve fuel light to come on. Fill the tank ... you should use a MINIMUM of 15.5 gallons (you'll have to convert to litres).

These cars are getting to the age when the fuel senders begin to fail. The cars will tell you to fill up TOO soon!

ignition coils and spark plugs, BMW coils are weak and start going bad very soon causing a rich condition and poor MPG also no high end power under load(3rd gear and up)
if you closely inspect your coils you can see the blueish burn marks on top of them, its an indication that the coils are bad
