I was at the local auto parts/accesories store today, and came across a special edition Zymol Wax. Surely I thought this was a typo. The wax must have been only $90, not $900. But sure enough, I double-checked with the salesman, and he told me it was $900. Ri-f***ing-diculous. Can someone give me some more information on this wax? What does it give you for $900?
I am sure our specialist, greg, will be able to answer this one. However, I do remember looking at that wax though and asking the same question. I don't know which one you looked at but there are some that Zymol will refill the container for life, if we all chip in and mail it around that may not be such a bad deal! I don't think any wax is that good though. As we have seen with the many comparisons made here, the expensive rarely outshines the affordable. If I were to use it on a "classic" garage queen I may be able to justify that cost, for a daily driver though I don't think so.
That was probably the Vintage Glaze. Top of the line stuff. I work with Zymol all the time but have never used anything past the Concours Glaze. Have been told these high end estate glazes are very time consuming to apply and are not worth it unless you have a Pebbel Beach winner. The wax offers an unbeleivable carnauba rate, something like 70%! This promotes depth of shine and protection. Almost as hard as a brick so it must be melted with hands before being applied to paint. If you are going to win Pebbele Beach in the near future, I think I may buy it but other then that no. The Concours works very well and is $850 cheaper. A better question is why was it in a parts store? Who would stock a $1000 wax? It cannot be a quick mover and sure adds up on the overhead. Hope this helps you out, more info is on the www.zymol.com website.
I've used Zymol products for four years; and, I have both Concours and Destiny. For my cars, I would always try to find the best stuffs for them. Waxing one car with Destiny probably takes about 3-5 hours of work; but, it is defintely the best stuff I've ever tried.

Zymol has a stitulation(sp) that you cannot get free refills if you own a detail shop Otherwise, I would be waxing every high end car in New England. I do not remember the exact specs but I beleive that you cannot get a refill before two or three years, not sure.
Boring Family Sedan:
You have used Destiny? What is it like in comparison to Concours? Same three to four hour wait for 2nd wipe down as Concours? I love the Concours but have never used the Destiny. How is the shine relative to Concours? Sorry for bombarding you with questions but I am very interested in what a long time Zymol user thinks of it. We Zymol guys seem to be in some sort of car cleaning cult Thanks in advance.
