Parallel parking and the tilting mirror

OK. This may be a dumb question, but I'm just getting to know my Beast. I have found the automatic tilting right mirror to be great when backing straight up. However, I find it a little disorienting when parallel parking, both in judging when to start (i.e. rear bumper even with the car in front), and when to switch from turning right to turning left.

Any tips? Thanks!

Practice. The rear mirror tilt feature is a great one to help avoid scratching those expensive wheels.

Use the switch to turn it on or off as you wish.

You can disable the tilting mirror function by moving the side mirror adjustment switch from driver's position to passenger position.
