M5 Modification

Dear All:

First of all, let me congratulate the founders of this site for a job well done.

Secondly, I am interested in modifying my 2001 M5. I am looking into changing the engine management chip, air intake, exhaust system, wheels, Brakes and Lights.

For the lights, I have selected the new 5-Series angle eyes.

Wheels, I am considering the Alpina classic 20 inch wheels, but am not sure whether I can put on 20 inch without additional modifications.

Exhaust sytem, well I have only seen the Borla Cat-Back Sport Exhaust (2000+ M5) but am not sure

Brakes, in talks with movit but no decision yet.

As for the rest, I am cluless. Please advice and suggest

Also, I kinda like the rear wheel skirts (or whatever they are called, the hump things over the wheels) on the M3 GTR, and was wondering if there is any similar body kit for the M5

Thanks, and once again, wonderful job!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe he's referring to the Euro Spec lights with the clear corners, but wouldn't they get that in the UAE?

thanks for the tip adam, mine came with teh xenon lights. the angle eyes were not introduced in the UAE until 2002. anyway, I was reading various messages and found many regarding this topic. however, i am still struggling to find information on what exactly to get, as in, what accessories. as you may have guessed, the limited dealers we have in this part of the world dont really know much about products they carry, so I am trying to get more detailed info on this site. anyway, I will use the search feature to look for specifics, in the mean time, if you or anyone else come across any exciting products, please let me know.

Many thanks
