Nav screen graphics?
This may be asking for trouble, but here it goes.... Does anyone or has anyone been able to modify/add to the nav screen graphics to be displayed as you listen to music? Maybe something that responds to the beats and displays different patterns/graphics the same way MP3 software does on a computer screen? For example, on my laptop, whether I play an MP3 or a CD, I have the option to have a "graphical" representation of the music on screen.

I think it would be interesting to have that as an option.

Also, anyone know why BMW omits display times when playing a CD(s)?

Interesting question and one that we have already discussed here. From what I know, those of us that have the TV tuner (which also has an A/V input) could possibly use the display for what you described. But (and it is a big one) - when you select the AV channel on the TV tuner and display something on the screen, I don't think you can de-couple the display and the external source? in other words?, I am not sure you can watch the display with your MP3 pattern AND also listen to the music at the same time? The first real problem with this is the TV Tuner's audio input is MONO only!! ARGHH!!!

If anyone else can shine some more light on this, pls jump in?

I had the exact same idea a while back. Since I listen to my favorite music while driving, I also thought it would be cool to have the video screen display a pattern that varies with the beat.

Someone will figure it out.
