glove box torch

Why will my glove box now not shut with the torch in its socket?

Don't know if you have sorted out the problem yet, in which case ignore this, but I had the same problem. Turned out that one of the clips that holds the base charger in, was broken and the whole unit had come forward into the glove box. Thus even thought the torch was correctly located, the glove box didn't close correctly.

Incidentally if anyone has a spare base for the torch I am still in need

I'll probably have one available after the first of the year as I will be parting out my totaled m5 if the insurance co. lets me buy it back for a reasonable cost. Pm me so I can get your specifics. Thanks, Jay

Does anyone have the part number for this flashlight? I ordered a replacement BMW glove box flashlight from Pelican, but this doesn't fit the M5. I had actually thought that this one light fit in all BMW cars. I guess not.

Here's what I ordered:

Anyone know the part number for our cars? US car if that matters.
