1bad540 bought me a SS kit!! Little long.

Is this board awesome or what??? I do a fellow board member a favor that any one of us would do and he returns the favor by buying me a 545 SS kit!

Long story short....there is a beautiful, low mileage M5 on the local dealer lot. Poor thing had been sitting there for months. Plenty of test drives, but no takers. Omaha is not a popular place for M's in general. 1bad540...whi is in Texas....is very interested, but the dealer isn't interested in his very well cared for 540 6-speed for trade. I didn't know the salesman he was dealing with, so I told him to talk to the finance guy, who I happened to be friendly with.

In the end he got a smokin' deal on the car and they gladly took his car in trade. I thought my reward was getting an M5 very similar to mine outta my town! Hey, I want the only silver M5 around. Believe it or not, there may be only one other one, but I'm not positive. As a nice gesture of thanks, he remembered I asked him how he was liking his new SS kit and he bought me one to. What a guy! I love this board.

What goes around comes around....Louv did the same thing for me last year when I bought my car sight unseen in San Francisco. Louv test drove it for me and gave it a good quick inspection. And I only bought him some Omaha Steaks.

Thank you again for the SS kit, Richard. I really do appreciate it. Drive your Beast in the best of health!

Kevin, hope you are enjoying the shifter! It really is a nice upgrade. It was the least I could do for helping me aquire one of the greatest M cars ever built! Just another example of board members helping board members. Makes me proud to be a member.
