Power Steering Fluid

My steering wheel tends to make noise when turning left or right. Not bad at all but more annoying. So I bought a bottle of ATF from the dealership. When I looked in the resevoir the colors of the fluid was more a muddy brown where as the fluid in the bottle was clear reddish. Is there a reason the color varies?

Secondly the fluid in the reservoir was at the acceptable level. Any other ideas what could be causing the noise? Thanks

well, if your fluid is at the correct level you might need to start shopping for the new power steering unit.
