Great Deal on Brand New Winter Wheels/Tires!

I just got back from having my new winter wheel and tire set-up installed. It drives nicely on the dry roads we have out there today; the real test comes tomorrow with the storm.

The reason I'm posting this is to let you all know about the set-up because you can replicate it yourself for very few dollars. I bought the replica M5 wheels from O.E. Wheels off of eBay for $580 delivered to my door in the 18x8 configuration. I went on the Tire Rack site and picked up a set of Dunlop Graspic winter run-flat tires for $115 apiece, or about $525 delivered, in 245/40-18. Mounting at my local tire shop was $85. Note that Luke at the Tire Rack said the run-flats are OK with the 2003's tire monitoring system- I guess you should check for other years.

So for $1190 I've got a brand new set of wheels and tires to go out on winter days when there's no choice (i.e., the SUVs are spoken for by my wife and kids!), and the original wheels and my new PS2s can stay warm in the garage until spring is sprung!

Check it out-

The car looks better with the "stock" 18's..My set-up is the 17 Tirerack set w/Michelins and really does not look as good..I am impressed with the snow handling with the winters on though
