Problem getting DavidS for the MAF group buy

I have sent a PM to him twice as instructed by the group buy thread but, have not received a response - did I miss something or is he away? - any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I think we missed out. There are a few VW MAF threads out here where members are testing out MAFs from various vendors including eBay. I ended up buying a VW MAF locally ($280/pair) and it was money well spent.

It seems that DavidS bought a pile of MAFS and then got stuck holding some when other board members chimed in with "get them cheaper here" suggestions. Now that the going market price is up there he is gone from this end of things - I don't blame him, really...

So where do you get the least expensive MAFS - I don't want the VW's.

after getting burned fpr $230 on the last set of vw mafs that didn't match the ones i needed, i'm leaning towards that way as well. though $350 each is a bit steep...

Try the Crevier Parts Forum on Roadfly. They'll probably be very close to the cheapest out there for OE MAFS. FWIW I paid $458/pr of OE MAFS a few years ago from a BMW dealer who is now no longer in the mail-order discount OE biz. I haven't heard of OE pricing that low since.

I bought mine through Performance Cafe. They were VW MAFS and I couldn't be happier. The car runs terrific Check out Cheapest source for VW MAFs?

They are now about $320 for a pair, but compared to OEM at $389 each, still a bargain.

Maybe David S is just not checking in on his computer for a bit? Traveling perhaps? Or maybe he disabled e-mail notification?
