power check via road power runs?

Just interested in a test to see how our cars perform on average and it would be interesting to see how much qucker modded m5s are over stock.

the time it takes a very healthy e39 m5 to pull from peak torque in 3rd gear to the rev limiter on a level road in low head wind at air temp approx 15c,i got 100 mph in 3rd but any ideas how quickly it should take to get there?
