Clutch Vibrating Like Crazy

I left my house this morning drove the beast for 2 blocks, came up to a red light, push in the clutch, put the car into neutral as I was releasing the clutch, I felt it vibrating and throbbing like crazy. I turned the car around immediately, drove it home and park it. My initial thought is, clutch is dead and I'll get it towed to dealer and get it replaced on Monday.

Just went to the garage and started up the beast again, while it's parked, I put my foot lightly on the clutch pedal and I can feel it throbbing/pulsating/vibrating. Is this a symptom for clutch replacement? Seems odd to me that clutch pedal would vibrate so crazy while the car is parked and in neutral.

During my last dealer (was 41K miles, currently at 44K miles) visit, they indicated the clutch is worn (no slippage) and I should look at replacing in the near future.

I searched the forum but didn't find anything on this... Any suggestion?

Throw Out Bearing...

Did some research at bimmerforums.com and it looks like it's the clutch throw out bearing. Anyone encounter this problem before? What's involved in replacing the throw out bearing? Do the whole clutch at the same time?

The original clutch has a lousy throwout bearing design they tend to start to bind up. The new ones are redesigned. My pedal got much lighter after a clutch replacement the tech said the throwout bearing was on its way out. I used a dinan clutch and also installed a new flywheel it all made so much difference.
