Looking for winter rims....any buy from these guys?

They make OE "replica" rims.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/18-Bmw-5-6-7-8-series-M5-525-530-540-740-840-850-wheels_W0QQitemZ290175162857QQihZ019QQcategoryZ439 58QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

I was thinking of getting a set of M5 replicas

Price is really good. $495 for four rims...

What does everyone think?

I too would like to know if anyone has any experience with these wheels. The seller feedback on the company is excellent, including for rims sold for BMWs.

Curious to know how much these wheels weigh? I was going to get my OE wheels refinsihed as they are looking dull. Cost to refinish is $150 per so these would actually be a little less......

I think I'm just going to get them....I'm only going to have them on my car for 3 months of the year. We rarely get snow in Vancouver - but I want to be able to drive my M5 to Whistler to go skiing.

I will weigh them when I get them

If you mean Winter wheels for snow tires then you really should be looking at 17" wheels instead of 18. If you mean Winter wheels to avoid pitting your originals, then I think those look like a great deal...

Hmmm, I might have to get a set of these also.

They do have other style rims for the same price, I'm tempted to go with something like these:

Here's another link to the original style rims:

do they have the proper staggered set-up, versus just fronts all around?

I have BBS 19" CH rims 9" front 10" rear for summer

Around where I live it snows a couple of times in the winter but because of the hills/mountains - if it does snow....even a little bit you will be hooped without snow tires

I want all the same size so I can rotate the tires freely -- snow tires wear down quickly on dry pavement.

thinner tires are recommended over wider tires for winter wheels, or at least when driving in snow.
